Straight from the grower
Straight from the grower
We have been growing our plants with great passion since 1976. We are therefore proud that the third generation is now at the helm of our family business. All plants and trees we supply come either directly from our own nursery or from fellow nurseries that work in partnership with Heijnen. Through our close cooperation with various skilled growers, plant importers and other professionals, we guarantee products that are as fresh and high quality as possible. What this means for you is healthy and beautiful plants and trees straight from the nursery at competitive prices.

They are ideal for those looking to add orange flowering borders or a garden with orange colour accents. With their fiery orange, apricot-coloured, and terracotta-toned flowers, these plants can transform any space. Features of warm-toned vertical flowering plants

Orange flowering climbers are a stunning addition to any garden. These bright orange climbing plants grow by attaching themselves to structures like trellises or walls. They spread outwards, creating a vibrant display of fire-coloured wall flowers. The growth pattern of these plants can vary, with some reaching several metres in width, providing a lush, colourful backdrop. The development of orange flowering climbers begins in early spring. As temperatures rise, these plants start to sprout, gradually reaching their full height by summer. The growth rate depends on factors like soil quality and sunlight. With proper care, these plants can thrive and cover large areas, making them ideal for creating orange flowering gardens. Orange climbing plants typically bloom from late spring to early autumn. The exact blooming period can be influenced by climate, weather conditions, and the plant's age. Warmer temperatures and well-drained soil encourage more vibrant blooms. Regular pruning and feeding also help maintain their health and prolong the flowering season. The blooms of orange flowering climbers come in various shades, including apricot-coloured, terracotta-toned, and mandarin orange. The specific hue can depend on the cultivar and environmental factors like soil pH and light exposure. These fiery orange flowers add a striking contrast to any garden with orange colour accents. While not all orange flowering climbers are known for their scent, some varieties do offer a pleasant aroma. The intensity of the fragrance can vary, often influenced by the plant's age and health. These scented blooms can enhance the biodiversity of a garden, attracting pollinators like bees and butterflies. Mature orange flowering climbers can reach impressive heights, often between 2 to 5 metres. The final height depends on the plant's care and the support structure provided. These plants are perfect for creating warm orange borders and gardens, adding layers and depth to the landscape.

Orange flowering climbers, also known as mandarin-hued vertical plants, bring vibrant colour to any garden. The leaves of these warm orange climbers vary in shape and texture, often with a glossy or slightly hairy surface. Leaf colour can range from deep green to lighter shades, depending on the variety and growing conditions. In winter, some orange flowering climbing plants may lose their leaves, while others remain evergreen, influenced by the specific type and local climate.

Winter hardiness is crucial for orange flowering climbers. These plants can be sensitive to frost, with factors like temperature, frost duration, and wind exposure playing significant roles. Choosing the right variety and ensuring proper soil conditions can enhance their resilience. Some bright orange climbing plants are evergreen, maintaining foliage year-round, while others shed leaves annually, depending on species and environmental factors.

Heat and drought tolerance are important for orange flowering climbers. Originating from warmer climates, these plants often have adaptations like a waxy leaf coating or deep root systems to withstand dry conditions. Adequate soil moisture and protection from strong winds can further support their growth. Regarding safety, orange flowering climbers are generally non-toxic, making them safe for gardens with children and pets.

These plants contribute to biodiversity by providing food and shelter for insects and birds. Their long-lasting blooms and insect-friendly nature help mimic natural habitats, supporting garden ecosystems. Orange flowering gardens with these climbers can enhance resistance to pests and diseases, creating a balanced environment. Whether used in orange flowering borders or as accents, these climbers add a fiery orange touch to any garden.

Best companions for fire-hued wall flowers

Orange flowering climbers can transform a garden with their vibrant hues. These mandarin-hued vertical plants pair beautifully with a variety of other plant types. Consider combining them with deep purple clematis for a striking contrast. The rich purple tones enhance the fiery orange of the climbers, creating a stunning visual effect. Another great combination is with silver-leaved plants like Artemisia. The soft, silvery foliage provides a calming backdrop, allowing the bright orange climbing plants to stand out even more. For a more subtle look, pair them with peach-blossom coloured roses. This combination creates a warm, harmonious garden with orange colour accents. These combinations not only add visual interest but also attract pollinators, enhancing the garden's ecosystem. Orange flowering climbers for vibrant walls are perfect for creating a focal point in any garden. Their warm orange tones can be complemented by terracotta-toned pots or apricot-coloured flowers, adding depth and richness to the garden. Soil and sun for colour success

Orange flowering climbers, also known as bright orange climbing plants or fire-coloured wall flowers, thrive in full sun. They need at least six hours of sunlight daily to produce vibrant orange climbing flowers. Partial shade can be tolerated, but it may reduce the intensity of the orange flowering climber's blooms. Wind can be a concern for these warm-coloured vines. Planting them near a wall or fence can provide protection from strong gusts. The ideal soil for orange flowering climbing plants is well-drained and rich in organic matter. A mix of loam and sand is perfect, as it allows roots to breathe and prevents waterlogging. Regular fertilisation supports growth, especially in gardens with orange colour accents. Boden moisture is crucial for these plants. They prefer consistently moist soil, but not waterlogged. Wind and sun can dry out the soil, so mulching helps retain moisture. Orange flowering climbers prefer a slightly acidic to neutral pH, around 6.0 to 7.0. This range supports nutrient uptake, enhancing the fiery orange blooms. Adjusting soil pH with lime or sulphur can help achieve the desired level. These apricot-coloured and terracotta-toned plants add a stunning touch to any garden with orange flowering borders.

Planting and spacing tips for orange climbers

Orange flowering climbers can be planted throughout the year if they come in pots, except during frost. For those with roots or clumps, spring and autumn are ideal. Factors like soil type, sunlight, and climate affect planting. When considering plant spacing, the type and size of the orange climbing plants matter. Fast-growing varieties need more space, while slower ones can be closer. The number of plants per metre is usually listed on the product page. Proper soil preparation is crucial for orange flowering climbing plants. Ensure the soil is well-drained and enriched with compost. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. After planting, water the orange flowering climber thoroughly. Regular watering is essential, especially in the first few weeks. This helps the plant establish strong roots. With the right care, these mandarin-hued vertical plants will add vibrant colour to any garden with orange colour accents.

Ongoing Care for Orange Climbing Flowers

Orange flowering climbers add vibrant colour to any garden. Proper care ensures these bright orange climbing plants thrive. Regular maintenance includes:

    • Watering: Check soil moisture regularly. Water when the top inch is dry. Early morning is best to prevent evaporation.
    • Pruning: Prune in late winter or early spring. Use sharp tools to remove dead or weak stems, promoting healthy growth.
    • Fertilising: Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring. Repeat every 6-8 weeks during the growing season for lush blooms.
    • Dividing: If needed, divide plants in early spring. This encourages new growth and prevents overcrowding.
    • Winter Protection: Mulch around the base in late autumn to protect roots from frost.
    • Transplanting: Best done in early spring. Water well after moving to reduce transplant shock.

These fire-coloured wall flowers create stunning orange flowering gardens. Consider adding apricot-coloured or terracotta-toned varieties for a garden with orange colour accents. For those looking to buy orange flowering climbers, ensure they are suitable for the local climate and soil conditions. With the right care, these orange climbing plants will enhance any garden with their fiery orange blooms.
